Based on the earlier PST file, Outlook 2003 creates a new PST file and also maintains its ANSI format.
6. Click the Close button.
7. At the bottom of the navigation pane, click Folder List.
In the navigation pane, you can now see the new PST file.
8. From your existing Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 folders, drag the information to the new PST file or alternatively use the Import and Export Wizard on the File menu.
9. In the navigation pane, right-click the new PST file and then click Close “file_name”.

By performing the aforementioned steps, you will be able to successfully and flawlessly resolve the incompatibility issues between Outlook 2003 and the Outlook’s earlier versions.
