How to create a new email profile in MS Outlook?

Every MS Outlook user may have encountered issues with your Outlook profile sometime or other. If Outlook crashes or displays error messages then the most probable though striking every mind is, corruption. Well, one of the first steps to recover your Outlook data before doing things like uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook is creating a new profile. A new profile is also recommended when you upgrade to the latest version of Outlook. Creating a new email profile in MS Outlook is all about email accounts, data files and information regarding location of your emails.

Follow the given below steps to create a new email profile in Outlook.

  • In Microsoft Windows, click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
  • If you are using Microsoft Windows Vista, click User Accounts, and then click Mail. In Classic view, double-click Mail.
  • If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, click User Accounts, and then click Mail. In Classic view, double-click Mail. The Mail icon won’t appear unless you have Outlook installed and have run the program at least once.
  • The Mail Setup dialog box opens.

Click Show Profiles.

  • Click Add.

Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.

  • Add an e-mail account to use in your profile by following the directions on your screen.
  • In the Microsoft Exchange Settings dialog box, enter the name of your Exchange server, verify your username is correct, and then click Next.
  • Click Finish, and then click OK.

This way user can create a new email profile in Outlook without any issues involved. In order to use your existing personal storage table data, select the new profile from the Mail dialog and choose Properties, then Email Accounts and finally, View or change email accounts. Now select New Outlook data file and then find your existing PST, add it to the profile and make it default. When you are using an old PST, you can use the default PST format on the New Personal Store dialog. If the newly created profile fixes your problem, you can get rid of the old profile.
