Microsoft Outlook is widely used email client used extensively throughout the length and breadth of the globe. Its personal folder with pst (personal storage) files stores local copies of data. PST files are encoded in ANSI format thereby limiting the file size limit to 2GB in all version of Outlook from MS Outlook 97 to MS Outlook 2002. However, in the version including MS Outlook 2003 and later ones, this format has been altered to Unicode that facilitates a user-defined size which can exceed to the maximum of 20 GB. Nevertheless, there are chances that you come across issues regarding launch of MS Outlook, as it crashes down and user cannot open the pst file.
